SnapDiff vs GoFullPage

Choose SnapDiff when you need to compare what changed, not just capture a page. It brings A/B pixel diffs, Multi review, and annotations into one local workflow. Choose GoFullPage for unlimited free full-page screenshots and PDF export. Both keep screenshot history locally.

A GoFullPage alternative when screenshots need a comparison

A QA engineer checking a fix needs to show expected versus actual. A UI/UX designer reviewing a release needs to identify the spacing or wrapping that changed. A developer or product reviewer needs evidence that another person can inspect without recreating the state. SnapDiff keeps those screenshots together, highlights compatible pixel differences, and lets you annotate the relevant area before exporting.

Capture a viewport, a full page, or a selected area. A and B can come from different tabs and domains, including staging and production. For a small set of states, use Multi to group 2-5 captures into one side-by-side review. Pixel Diff applies to compatible A/B captures; Multi is visual review only. GoFullPage's published feature list centers on capture and editing rather than this comparison workflow.

When GoFullPage is the better choice

Keep GoFullPage if you primarily archive pages, need PDF output, or want unlimited unedited screenshots without paying. Its Free plan does not have SnapDiff's 20-workflow monthly limit, and SnapDiff does not export PDF. If cropping, blur, or smart PDF page breaks are central to your work, evaluate GoFullPage Premium's editor rather than assuming SnapDiff has those tools.

GoFullPage also stores screenshot history locally. Local storage is not a unique SnapDiff advantage in this comparison. The reason to choose SnapDiff is the capture-to-comparison workflow and visual QA tools, not a claim that GoFullPage uploads screenshots or lacks annotation features.

Free vs paid: compare the features you actually need

GoFullPage Free includes unlimited capture and image or PDF downloads. Its FAQ lists Premium at $12 USD/year, excluding tax and foreign exchange, with annual auto-renewal and a seven-day free trial. Premium adds editing, annotations, date stamps, smart PDF page splitting, and priority support. Downloading an edited capture requires Premium or its trial.

SnapDiff includes annotations, compatible A/B pixel diffs, Multi review, and full-quality exports within 20 Free workflows per month, with SnapDiff branding and timestamps. Pro is an annual subscription for unlimited workflows and clean or custom export branding, not an image-quality upgrade. For a capture-only job, GoFullPage Free may be all you need; for recurring screenshot comparisons, assess the review workflow as well as price. Current SnapDiff pricing and browser limits are below.

Review layouts, languages, and accessibility alongside the capture

Chrome includes all five SnapDiff capabilities in Free: visual A/B comparison, responsive viewport review, locale simulation, optional axe accessibility checks, and visual UI review. A designer can compare a desktop layout with a phone viewport in Multi; a QA can save local axe findings beside a screenshot and export the report as JSON.

Device presets are not physical-device tests. Locale simulation requires site support and reloads the page; it does not translate content. Axe checks do not certify accessibility compliance. Firefox supports the core capture and review workflow and optional axe checks, but not device presets or browser locale simulation, even with Pro.

Try SnapDiff without losing your GoFullPage history

You can keep GoFullPage for page archives and PDF exports while using SnapDiff for new visual comparisons. SnapDiff does not import GoFullPage history, editing layers, or existing image files into an A/B comparison. Create new captures of the source pages you want to compare. Do not uninstall GoFullPage before downloading history you want to keep.

  1. Export important GoFullPage captures as image files or PDFs and keep them separately. Leave the extension installed if you still need its history.
  2. Install SnapDiff from your supported browser's official store when available. Open a source page and capture A in an A/B workflow.
  3. Open the changed page, keep the same viewport and zoom, and capture B. Use Diff where supported, then add annotations.
  4. Export one comparison image for your review. Continue using GoFullPage when the deliverable needs to be a PDF.

Do I need Pro to compare and annotate screenshots?

No. SnapDiff Free includes comparison and annotation tools within its 20-workflow monthly allowance. A completed A/B pair or Multi group counts once, and editing or exporting it does not use another workflow. Pro removes the workflow cap and adds watermark and timestamp controls. Neither plan supplies automated test runs or a shared cloud approval system.

Start with 20 Free workflows per month

A completed Single capture, A/B pair, or Multi group counts as one workflow. Editing, retakes, exports, and optional accessibility checks do not consume another workflow. Free includes full-quality exports with SnapDiff branding and capture timestamps.

Pro is $9.99 USD/year, plus applicable tax, with automatic annual renewal. It includes unlimited workflows, clean or custom watermarks, timestamp controls, and up to three browser installations. See pricing and checkout availability. Screenshots stay local; checkout and license validation use Dodo Payments separately.

Chrome 120+ is the full-feature baseline. Desktop Firefox 153+ is a limited-feature target, not a promise of a published store listing or complete browser parity. It does not support responsive presets or browser locale simulation, even with Pro. Read the browser support guide.
